Post Mass

Post-Mass is Emrald Labs' answer to not being able to eat enough. The 2.2 kg pack runs a serve at 26.5 g of protein and 118 g of carbohydrate — a load that is genuinely hard to reach with food alone when you are training hard and your appetite is not co-operating. Fourteen serves to the bag.

It differs from a plain sugar-and-whey gainer in what else is in the scoop. Emrald Labs build it on whole-food carbohydrate sources, add coconut oil for fat calories, include 1.5 g of creatine monohydrate a serve, and finish with a digestive enzyme blend of bromelain, papain and amylase so the volume is easier to get through.

Use it on top of meals, not instead of them. Emrald Labs' directions are four scoops a day — two after training and two spread across the day — mixed with water or the liquid of your choice. The 2.2 kg pouch is stocked in Milk Chocolate and Vanilla Cream.

Emrald Labs publish 634 calories and 27.9 g of protein a serve for the Post-Mass line, which is a shade above what the 2.2 kg pack prints. Figures move with flavour and pack size, so the panel on the bag you are sent is the one that counts.
